Forgetting what is behind…

My story is one I transparently share in the hopes it inspires others to discover their true calling in life.

I was a gifted, over-functioning, depressed child – an accomplished pianist, Valedictorian, and oddly enough at 5’2”, an All-State volleyball player, named the Top Female Scholar Athlete in Michigan by the MSHAA. I was accepted to some of the top universities in the country including the University of Chicago, Cornell and Johns Hopkins. I enrolled at the University of Michigan.

I was a pre-med at U of M, a career choice greatly influenced by my upbringing, but by my 2nd year, I knew in my heart medical school was not my calling. After graduating, I turned down medical school and pursued the one thing that truly made me feel alive: athletics. At 22 years old, it was the first decision I ever made for myself.

Despite the genius IQ, I honestly didn’t know how to think independently but did my best to navigate being on my own. I met my Prince Charming on the volleyball court, married him two years later, and moved from Ann Arbor to South Florida.

12 years and 3 children later, I was a burnt-out single mother, broke, homeless, unemployed, and sleeping in my car. Disgusted with myself and my life, I sought change. Or rather, I sought to discover why I was here.

… Straining toward what is ahead…

My story is marred with divorce, debt, destructive relationships, addictions, and emotional struggle. Through the process, I realized that complete destruction of my old self was necessary to start over and build anew.

Sharing my journey rather than hiding it in shame allowed me to heal and become stronger. I am humbled it has inspired others to say, “I want to, and can, change my life as well.”

Every individual day is an opportunity to live life on purpose. You are here for a reason. Many people will go their whole lives never discovering what that reason is. It is not an answer that unveils itself overnight, but I do promise – what you seek, you shall find.

Many have helped me find me way. It is my honor to help you do the same.

I am a proud mother of three: Taylor (21), Ryan (18), and Kiele (15). My children were my inspiration to become the best version of myself I could be. They loved me unconditionally during our most difficult years as a family. Their love fueled me to become an entrepreneur and retire from corporate so I could be home with them full-time.

Taylor and Ryan now attend college in Orlando. I reside in Windermere with Kiele and our two dogs, Leila and Luke, both rescues.

I am a “non-denominational” Christian evangelist, specializing in women’s ministry. Raised as a Roman Catholic, I left the church at 21 years old, disillusioned with the whole concept of religion. On the doorstep of my divorce in 2006, I stepped into Christ Fellowship Church in North Palm Beach, FL and gave my life back to Jesus. I credit Coach Todd Mullins of Christ Fellowship, leadership expert John C. Maxwell, and Pastor Andy Stanley of North Point Community Church for having a significant impact on my spiritual development.

I was baptized in water at Grace Orlando in April 2016 and baptized in the Holy Spirit at Bethel Dallas in June 2016.

My testimonials, as with all my stories, are shared to inspire others to seek answers for themselves. My faith is the foundation of my story. I wholeheartedly proclaim Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.
